A Dagger To A Gun Fight: A stranger steps out of the shadows, presses a weapon into your palm and says, “Keep this close,” before fading away. When you look down, it’s a dagger marked with your name. A dagger feels archaic to you, as you sit in a room with at least a dozen laser pistol and jetpack wielding strangers. But as it settles in your hand you can feel your blood start to pump faster, and hot. You can feel some ancient echo in your long forgotten lineage crying out. Warning, and offering help. You are connected to an ancient ancestor, who is reaching through time to push you to action.

A long forgotten enemy has also awoken, and if you’re going to live long enough to be forgotten by the next great great great (etc) grand child, you’ll need to team up with some new friends and ancient allies.
